Rich is Germany compared with countries in Africa and Asia. But not all people in Germany are rich. While some people have millions of Euros each month on their account, many other people have not even1.50 Euro to live and to survive in the streets of Germany.

Certainely you will not find the poor and sick people in great need and poverty in the main boulevards, avenues or the massive German shopping centers. But you will find them in the streets close to these gorgeous locations.

Not every German citizen is able to own a Mercedes, a very nice but quite expensive vehicle.

The great need of people starts in many cases simply with unemployment. And while the number of people which live in need and poverty is increasing, big multi-national companies are planning to fire 10.000´s of their employees, although these companies made millions of Euros with a business in success in this year.

Even the great German trade unions are not able to prevent people in getting unemployed and to loose their jobs. Many German politicians do not bother with the need of poor and sick people. Some of the German polticians do not even regonize that poor people in Germany are starving and freezing to death in the streets.

The German news media deals with such people almost every year with big headlines and then may some people get excited or feel sorrow. It is may more important to prevent such headlines and to help poor and sick people, while there is a chance to help them.

Once people in Germany are unemployed it means that in the next step they are close in getting homeless quite easily, because social benefit programs such as "Hartz IV or Arbeitslosengeld II" do not meet the need of unemployed people in Germany. It is possible that an unemployed person will get a social benefit of about 300 Euro per month, but has to pay a rent of 800 Euro per month.

Elvira Fabian-Comer, a lady and an owner of a small business in the German city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, decided it is better to help now then only to mourn about this sad and dramatic changes in the country of Germany.

Already last year she celebrated with the poor, sick and homeless people in the region of the German city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, "THE FEAST FOR THE POOR".

This year there are more people in need and she will celebrate with them "THE FEAST FOR THE POOR" again, in the German city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, on December 22, 2006, 12 pm to 7 pm.

Therefore she is looking for donors, which can help with money, food, cloths or other things which might help even a homeless person to survive in a cold winter in Germany and she is also looking for volunteers which are willing to serve with "THE FEAST FOR THE POOR".

Elvira Fabian-Comer believes, that every little helps. A dononation of only 10 Euro / 10 US Dollar / 10 British Pounds Sterling can help, as long as there are some people in this world which are willing to help the poor in great need and in danger.
